Widgets are chat-like windows that provide a direct link for leads to a WhatsApp number, specifically the one associated with the selected device.
There are two types of widgets.
This widget can be implemented on a domain or subdomain according to your needs. You will need access to your website's source code to add the necessary tags, which include one CSS style tag and one JavaScript tag.
To configure and implement the widget, you need to complete the following options.
Where do you want to display the widget?: You should select On My Own Website.
Domain/Subdomain: This refers to the host, domain, or subdomain where the widget will be added. You can include up to 5 different values. Press enter to add a new value without http:// or https://, for example: mydomain.com or sub.mydomain.com
Trigger Message: This is the default message that will appear in the chat window when the WhatsApp floating button is clicked. Try clicking the floating WhatsApp icon button.
Do you want to show an automated trigger message to the lead/customer/user after a certain period?: This option opens the widget window automatically when the lead/customer has been browsing the website for a certain amount of time. The widget window will open with a personalized message to increase visual attraction and lead interaction as a marketing strategy, customer service, or any other task.
What message do you want to show?: This refers to the personalized message to be used as the trigger.
Test (button): This button allows you to test the automated trigger message option.
Codes: These are the HTML tags that you must embed in your website's source code. They are also compatible with content management systems like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, among others. Even external platforms like Shopify support them.
This widget is automatically implemented on the products of your e-commerce store on Watsichat. It has the same parameters as option 1 (On My Own Website) but you don’t need to implement any tags. Everything is seamless and detected instantly without complications.
Due to WhatsApp's corporate identity guidelines, the widget colors cannot be customized.
