Also known as Utility and Marketing templates, they are used for different activities as outlined below.
Marketing templates are the most flexible. They allow businesses to achieve a wide range of goals: from raising awareness to boosting sales and retargeting customers.
Generate awareness of your business, products, or services among customers who have subscribed to receive messages from your business on WhatsApp.
Send customers general promotional offers related to sales events, coupons, or other content to drive sales.
Promote relevant offers or other calls-to-action to customers who may have visited your website, used your app, or interacted with your products and services.
Encourage your customers to install your app or take a specific action within it.
To create a text and media template, you need to fill out the following fields.

Message Footer: The message that appears at the bottom.
Preview: Shows a preview as close as possible to how the template will look, though the design and layout may vary.
If everything goes well, you will see a confirmation window; otherwise, any errors will be displayed so they can be corrected.
By default, all newly created templates are set to pending status. Then, Facebook Meta will review the template to either approve or decline it. This process should take no longer than 24 hours.
Important: The device token must be valid.
Currently, you can only edit text and media templates directly in your Facebook Meta Developers account. We're working on integrating this feature into Watsi.
You can delete templates from any of your active devices. However, please note that system-defined or default META templates cannot be deleted through this platform; these must be managed directly from the META dashboard.
