Authentication templates are predefined messages used to send verification codes or one-time passwords. For example: Your verification code is 123456. For your security, do not share it.

To create an authentication template, you need to fill out the following fields.

Copy Code: This refers to the type of template to create. Currently, Watsi only supports this option, which allows the user to copy the received code via a button.

Device: This refers to the device account/phone number where the template will be created.

Template Name: This is the name of the template. It’s very important that the name contains no spaces or special characters and hasn’t been used before. For example, a good template name is: my_first_template.

Language: The language of the template.

Code Expiration: This indicates how long the one-time code will remain valid.

Preview: Shows a preview as close as possible to how the template will look, although the design and layout of elements may vary.

If everything goes well, you will receive a confirmation window; otherwise, any errors will be displayed so they can be corrected.

By default, all newly created templates are set to pending status. Afterwards, Facebook Meta will review the template to either approve or decline it. This process should take no longer than 24 hours.

Important: The device token must be valid.

Currently, you can only edit authentication templates directly in your Facebook Meta Developers account. We're working on integrating this feature into Watsi.

You can delete templates from any of your active devices. However, please note that system-defined or default META templates cannot be deleted through this platform; these must be managed directly from the META dashboard.
