Contacts & Groups

A contact is a phone number that you can later use to create and send campaigns.

From this section, you can safely add, edit, and delete contacts.

To add a contact, simply fill out the following information.

Avatar: This refers to an image or photo of the contact.

First Name(s): This refers to the contact's first name or names.

Last Name(s): This refers to the contact's last name or names.

Alias: This is a nickname or short name used to refer to the contact.

Country: This is the country code for the WhatsApp number.

WhatsApp Number: This is the WhatsApp number without the country code or area code.

You can bulk import contacts from a .CSV file, which is very useful when you need to add many contacts at once.

Sample .csv file

Explanation

Field headers: first_name,last_name,whatsapp,email

The header or first line will never be imported as a contact.

In the example above, we are importing one contact from Mexico, one from the United States, and one from Colombia.

As an additional note, if you want to import contacts from Google, Apple, or any other source, you’ll need to format the contacts as shown in the example.

Groups are segments or contact lists that you can use to send campaigns. It's essential to have at least one group to be able to create campaigns.
